Genius G-Pen M712 Pen Tablet

Back when Blu-ray vs. HD DVD format war is in full swing, LG fence on Saturday by launching the second player who spun format (which is much maligned BD100). But now that the dust has settled, the company has become Korea's attention to the Blu-ray exclusively with BD300, which is simple but the price-feature-packed player.

But before we get stuck in to the features, this is an interesting little curio - the BD300's page on the web site still shows the LG logo HD DVD, which makes us think that at some point that it has become BD300 other dual - deck format. We can confirm that he does not play HD DVD, as indicated by our rejection of violence almost V For Vendetta disk.

Anyway, with the review. BD300 offering full support BD Live, which the price will not be sniffed at. There will soon join the BD370, which also allows you to connect to YouTube and watch video clips through an internet connection, and although the U.S. version of the BD300 supports downloads from Netflix, English version of this limited time to download movies and additional indices. BD300 Profile 1.1 features that support BonusView also make this deck a wise investment if you are a bonus feature.

BD300 a very classy-looking player, with clear lines and beautiful silver strip running in the top of the cuisine that has the power and open / close button embedded in it. Screen panel is light and easy to read, and in addition is the USB port, you need to if you want to download the BD Live content or play MP3, WMA and JPEG files from an external storage device.

Rear panel is equipped with all the key connections, with only negligence leading multichannel analog output, which will be beneficial for the old owner amps without HDMI inputs. But do not offer Ethernet LAN port, the connection is needed to enable web features, and an HDMI v1.3 output that supports Deep Color and 1080/24p output. The inclusion of optical connectors and coaxial digital audio output that is useful if your amp is limited to one or the other, but the video output is as useful as a paper umbrella. Rounding the sockets are a set of component video output.

Because of the lack of multichannel output shows, the LG's audio talents are quite limited. Plus in the side, it can output Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio bitstreams from the HDMI output - great news if the recipient can decode them - but only able to decode Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, which will be a real blow for the HDMI - receivers equipped with HD audio decoding who want to enjoy the additional resolution offered by DTS HD Master Audio.

Supporting the format is pretty healthy though. Apart from the aforementioned MP3, WMA and JPEG playback, the BD300 also receive AVCHD and DivX (but sadly not as DivX HD DVD player DVS450H) and spinning BD-RE/BD-R, DVD-RW/-R, DVD RW / R and CD-RW/-R discs.
